Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita. – Episode 11 (RAW)

Jealousy makes Shizuka cruel. She pushes Ryou away after the Sumire scare, then has to face another confession: Sousuke Kuratani tells her he likes her. She answers him honestly, without pretending she can return what he wants. Honesty should have cleared the air. Instead Ryou overhears the conversation, takes her words the wrong way, and decides he knows where he stands.

He does not. Shizuka was not choosing Sousuke. She was trying to tell the truth about a heart that already belongs in a messier place. Ryou’s misunderstanding is the kind that can end a couple that never learned to talk in a straight line.

The title is stubbornness from both sides. Shizuka hates the idea of giving up what she feels. Ryou hates the idea of losing her and still almost walks himself out of the story. Episode 11 is the break before the ending: a pushed-away boyfriend, a kind classmate who confessed at the worst time, and a man in love who is very good at hearing the sentence that hurts him most.
