Synopsis
Mio Fukatani is a fourth-year university student still carrying a quiet crush from junior high. At a reunion she meets Takahide Kujou again and discovers that the gentle classmate she admired now wears priest’s robes and has taken over Shinsho-ji, his family’s temple. Convinced that a monk has set love, marriage, and desire aside, she drinks, lets him walk her home, and lowers her guard.
Inside her apartment he tells her the line that defines the series: before he is a priest, he is a man. What follows is not a polite rejection of her old feelings. It is a night of heat, hesitation, and a body that answers even when her mind is still catching up. The next day the situation hardens into something public. Family, temple politics, and neighborhood eyes make a convenient story necessary, so Mio is pulled into a fake engagement and a sudden cohabitation at the temple.
Daily life there is not peaceful. Takahide remains responsible, awkward about romance, and relentless once the door is closed. Mio is honest, easily flustered, and never as unwilling as she first pretends. Around them stand his easygoing younger brother Yukitaka, who attends the same university, and parents who treat the arrangement with unsettling calm. Across twelve short episodes the story stays intimate: a josei erotic romance about first love colliding with adult appetite, duty colliding with lust, and a woman learning that the man in the kesa is not as forbidden as she wanted to believe.
