Mio starts avoiding Takahide. The speed of the affair, the temple, the family lie—none of it matches the pace of her heart. She cannot read him. Is she a convenient fiancée, a body from one night, or the girl he actually wanted all along?
He finds her and puts the choice back in her mouth: if she truly dislikes him, she should say it. The challenge breaks the silence she had been hiding inside. What comes out is not a neat rejection. The feelings she carried from school erupt—fear, want, relief, the shame of having been so easy to move. Takahide answers in kind. He does not only need a partner for the temple’s eyes. He wants her.
Episode 6 is the first time the relationship is named as love instead of lust plus logistics. The avoidance ends because Mio can no longer pretend indifference. Saying it does not make temple life simpler. It makes every night after this one harder to call a mistake.
