The last episode lets the relationship go deeper instead of resetting it. Training, jealousy, family eyes, and Mio’s fear that she was only a convenient fiancée all collapse into a reunion that is physical and decided. The “love love diary” ending is the series choosing attachment over escape. Mio stays. Takahide stays close. The priest and the student who met at a reunion finish the short season as a couple who know the cost of being apart and refuse it.

Episode 12 closes the 2017 run on consumption and keep: more intimacy, fewer exits, a household that has already written her name next to his.
