Yukitaka leans in to kiss Mio. Takahide stops him. The priest who speaks softly to parishioners does not speak softly now. Mio is not a guest to be shared and not a campus friend for his brother to test. “She’s mine” is the claim he makes in front of the one person who could take her away from inside the family.
What follows is not a quiet correction. Takahide needs Yukitaka to see it. Possession becomes a performance: touch, voice, the same body the younger brother reached for, now used to draw a border. Mio is in the middle of a fight she did not start. Being wanted by both brothers does not feel like a compliment. It feels like the house tightening around her.
Episode 10 is jealousy without disguise. The engagement is no longer only for the parents. It is a warning to Yukitaka and a reminder to Mio that Takahide will not share her, not even with blood.
