The secret continues. Hiroki is hooked—not only on sex with Meiko, but on doing it where they might be caught. Rooftop, gym storage, pool, restroom: school becomes a map of hiding places. Each time they meet, Meiko’s reactions change a little more, even if she still agrees with that same unreadable calm.

Hiroki’s head is elsewhere. He enjoys the contrast between the Meiko everyone else sees and the one who lets him use her whenever he asks. That superiority over classmates who only fantasize starts to warp his judgment. He stops noticing what the arrangement is doing to her, and to them.
