The ban from Part 1 is gone. Iris still lives with her homeroom teacher after his right-hand injury, but she is no longer only a nurse. She has picked up every piece of naughty domestic trivia she can find and treats their apartment like a practice marriage. He comes home to her in a naked apron. She asks the classic line: dinner, a bath, or her. They bathe together. They sit close and watch a movie with no agenda except staying in the same room.

Those quiet hours matter as much as the sex. The official assistance program made them partners; the shared chores, meals, and idle evenings make him admit he wants her as more than a state-assigned mate. He finally says it. Iris is overjoyed that the feeling is mutual, not just policy, and they close the distance for real.
