Takahide makes the request official: pretend to be his fiancée. Mio had a crush on him in school, and that old feeling is exactly why she cannot say no cleanly. She is carried forward by the situation rather than by a decision she would defend in daylight.

Inside the arrangement, touch becomes the argument. He asks whether she hates his hands on her. The question is not innocent. Mio’s mouth wants to keep the priest at a distance; her body already answered him once. Each time she hesitates, the fake engagement looks less fake. Temple life gives him proximity she never had in junior high: the same roof, the same room, no classmates to hide behind.

Episode 4 is about consent that arrives late and incomplete. Mio is not dragged by strangers. She is held by a first love who knows she never stopped looking at him. Saying no would mean denying years of quiet wanting. Saying yes would mean admitting that the monk she thought was forbidden is now allowed to touch her whenever the household story requires it—and whenever he decides the story is not enough.
