Description

Episode 2 stays inside the night that began when Takahide walked Mio home. She is still telling herself this cannot be happening because he is a priest. That story lasts only until he says the rest of it out loud: priests fall in love. Priests marry. Priests want more than prayer.

He does not wait for her to finish arguing with herself. Mio is overwhelmed, flushed, and caught between protest and the fact that she does not hate this. She cannot find a clean reason to throw him off. The crush she carried for years is suddenly in the room with them, no longer distant and no longer polite.

What looked like a single drunken mistake starts to feel like a decision being made for her—and partly by her. Takahide’s voice stays low and certain. Mio’s resistance stays incomplete. By the time the night is over, the old picture of a sexless, marriage-less monk is gone. In its place is a man who intends to keep her close, even if that means rewriting her life around the temple the next morning. Episode 2 is the series committing to its premise: desire first, explanations later, and a heroine who is shaken without being able to say no.
