自分が苦しんで初めて人の苦しみがわかる
Distance opens between Mio and Takahide. Before they can repair it, he leaves for training. She is hurt and, treacherously, a little relieved. The house is quieter without his hunger and his certainty. Quiet does not last. Yukitaka moves back in the moment his brother is gone, and the problems the couple failed to finish are still sitting on the tatami.
Mio has to hold the temple role without the man who put her in it. Parishioners’ grief, household duty, and the younger brother’s attention all arrive while she is still angry. “People’s pain is your pain” is the priestly lesson hanging over a woman who has not yet been ordained into anything except an engagement.
Episode 11 is the absence chapter. Love looks different when the body that enforced it is away. Mio can breathe, then immediately has to decide whether breathing means she wants out—or whether Yukitaka is only filling a space Takahide still owns.
