After the hotel fight, Sae shuts Akihito out completely. Akihito does something he never does: he asks a friend for help just to get near Sae again. Sae still runs.

Then the friend says the line that stops Akihito cold: so you actually want to make up with someone? Akihito realizes this is not irritation, not a game, not a pretty-face habit. He wants Sae specifically.

The episode is Akihito’s first honest look at his own feelings.
