Taimanin Asagi 3
対魔忍アサギ3
Synopsis
In a near-future Japan, the old pact of non-interference between humans and demons has collapsed. Criminal syndicates and the multinational Nomad empire traffic with the demonic underworld. The government answers with the Taimanin: human ninja trained to fight “ma.” Igawa Asagi, once the strongest of them, now runs Gosha Academy while raising two orphans of war—Sawaki Kousuke, younger brother of her dead fiancé, and Koukawa Asuka, last of a slaughtered ninja house.
The OVA opens on the ruined artificial island Tokyo Kingdom. Asagi tracks a Nomad asset and finds Asuka already there: a rogue Taimanin whose lost limbs have been replaced with steel. That reunion is only the first cut. While Asagi is drawn away, Gosha is hit. Sakura and Murasaki fight a holding action and fall. Kousuke is taken and reshaped into a living hostage. Oboro—killed once, resurrected by Edwin Black’s vampire pact—uses that hostage to force Asagi’s surrender.
Episode two moves the war into a rebuilt Chaos Arena. Asagi’s body and will are broken in front of the people she tried to protect. Sakura and Murasaki return not as allies but as Oboro’s weapons. The subtitle is literal: every private wish—retirement, family, a clean victory over Black—fails. The animation restages Kagami and Aoi Nagisa’s game art, with Furuse Mayu adapting the cast’s ahegao and voice work into motion. Runtime is about 20–25 minutes per episode (2016–2017).
