Shoji managed to evade the pursuit of the gossip journalist and took his daughter Kana with him to the fireworks festival with Minami, as they had always wanted. As they wandered around the food stalls, Kana met some friends from her nursery school and began to insist on going around with them.
Fortunately, the parents of one of Kana’s friends offered to take care of her, so Shoji and Minami were able to enjoy the fireworks festival alone for a while. They enjoyed some sparklers at a quiet shrine until the main fireworks display began. While gazing at Minami illuminated by the gentle light of the sparklers, Shoji’s love for her overflowed, and he gave her a gentle kiss.
