The short anime“Backwasher! Her and I, in the Women’s Bath!?”, which is based on Toyo’s manga “Asoko Araiya-san!”, shows us the daily work of a so-called “body washer”. They traditionally have the task of washing their (mostly female) clientele from top to bottom. One of the very last of these rather intimate bathhouses has been run by Souta’s family for generations, and when the high-school student suddenly needs to step in for his father, who sprained his back during an unfortunate motion, he finds himself flabbergasted …
“Only old hags would ever come here anyway, so how bad could it possibly be?” he flippantly thought. But far from it! Now he is confronted by his school’s volleyball team … and they’re naked! Naturally, all those lovely girls, including his childhood friend Aoi Yuzuki, who has secretly had feelings for him for a long time, and Mei Sasakura, his school’s idol, only want one thing: to be washed – by hand! For Souta, this means one thing now: Time for some serious “handiwork”!
