Controversial ‘Rape! Rape! Rape!’ Hentai Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary

The Rape and Mind Break hentai Rape! Rape! Rape! has just celebrated its 15th anniversary since its release.

Origin

The adult anime is based on Rape! Rape! Rape! eroge by Valkyria on February 10, 2006.

Its animated series debuted on October 17, 2008. The production was handled by Anime Antenna Group and Anime Antenna Iinkai concluded on July 10, 2009 with three animated episodes.

Story

Takumi was a normal student. One day he confesses to the girl he liked, Ayaka, but since she knew that her friend Yurine was in love with him, she rejected him.

Infuriated, Takumi raped Yurine as revenge and then he also raped Ayaka.
After that, he noticed that he enjoyed abusing girls, so he started to rape girls around the city.

Reception

Rape! Rape! Rape! received a good reception in Japan due to the popularity of Valkyria games and its bizarre story. However, overseas, it gained initial fame due to the curiosity surrounding the story of a rapist committing his misdeeds. Nevertheless, its popularity waned over the years, partly due to the aging animation and other factors.

Despite its fame, Rape! Rape! Rape! was never sold uncensored due to its sensitive themes, such as rape and suicide.

Takumi teaches rape to Kagami Seiji, the protagonist Play! Play! Play! eroge.

Not only Takumi appears in Play! Play! Play!, so do several girls from Rape! Rape! Rape!.

It’s unknown who stabbed Takumi in the anime’s final episode, although it’s highly probable that it was Yurine, the girl who loved him.

The anime’s ending is not featured in the eroge. The most tragic ending in the game involves all the characters being caught in a fire.

The anime’s ending appears to be the opposite version of one of the endings in the eroge where Yurine and Takumi end up together.

In the animated version, the only girls who were raped behind the scenes were Ayumi, a distant relative who invited the family to her wedding, Sakura, the homeless girl who ran away from home, Raimu and Karin, the bisexual twins.

In 2010 was released for sale Rape! Rape! Rape! DVD-Box Special, a compilation pack of the OVAs that contains a special video featuring anime scenes from eroge Play! Play! Play!.
