They spend another night together. In the morning Akihito remembers unused movie tickets and invites Sae. The film is horror — exactly the genre Sae hates. Still, Sae tries, awkwardly, to be considerate.

That clumsy kindness undoes Akihito. Seeing Sae drop the perfect, distant face for a moment of genuine care is more intoxicating than the hotel nights. Impulse takes over again.
