Episode 1 opens with Tsumugi Kume, a university student still recovering from trauma caused by pushy, carnivorous men. His melancholic yet composed expression, combined with his soft-spoken and unintrusive attitude, makes her heart race. “This is exactly the type I’ve been looking for,” she decides. His gentle manner even gives her the same comforting, protective feeling she gets from her older brother, so she quickly lowers all her defenses around him. As the night progresses, Kaname politely offers to see her home. Feeling completely safe and at ease, Tsumugi walks beside him with a light heart—unaware that the moment they reach her door, everything she believed about him is about to be turned upside down. The episode builds delicious anticipation, ending right as the true nature hidden behind Kaname’s herbivore mask begins to peek through, leaving viewers craving the next explosive moment.
